• narozen 1982 v Českých Budějovicích
• Vystudoval kamenosochařství na Střední uměleckoprůmyslové škole svaté Anežky v Českém Krumlově. Poté absolvoval VŠUP v Praze v Ateliéru sochy u prof. ak. soch. Jiřího Beránka (2007) a doktorandské studium pod vedením prof. ak. mal. Borise Jirků na AVU v Bánské Bystrici (2012).
• Během studia absolvoval roční stáž na Taideninstitutu ve finském Lahti a poté i na Emily Carr Institutu v kanadském Vancouveru.
• V roce 2000 se zúčastnil mezinárodního setkání studentů na téma kulturní dědictví v Jižní Koreji pořádaného organizací UNESCO.
• Michal Trpák vytvořil desítky soch z různých materiálů, které jsou vystaveny v Čechách i zahraničí.
• Sochy, které tvoří, pracují často s tématy současné společnosti i s konkrétním prostorem, do kterého jsou instalovány.
• Vedle sochařství se věnuje také architektuře i organizování a kurátorování různých sochařských prezentací. Od roku 2007 pořádá výstavu Umění ve městě v Českých Budějovicích, v roce 2015 stál u zrodu pražského sochařského festivalu Sculpture line.

• Graduated in stone sculpture at the Secondary School of Arts and Crafts St. Agnes in Český Krumlov. Then he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in the Sculpture Studio under prof. ak. sculptor. Jiří Beránek (2007) and doctoral studies under the guidance of prof. ak. mal. Boris Jirků at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bánská Bystrica (2012).
• During his studies, he completed a one-year internship at the Taideninstitut in Lahti, Finland, and then at the Emily Carr Institute in Vancouver, Canada.
• In 2000 he participated in an international student meeting on cultural heritage in South Korea organized by UNESCO.
• Michal Trpák has created dozens of sculptures from various materials, which have been exhibited in the Czech Republic and abroad.
• The sculptures he creates often work with the themes of contemporary society and the specific space in which they are installed.
• In addition to sculpture, he also works in architecture and organizes and curates various sculpture presentations. Since 2007 he has been organizing the Art in the City exhibition in České Budějovice, and in 2015 he was at the birth of the Prague Sculpture Line festival.
